I · The calling

Some forests are older than the stories told about them. In the Knysna Oudbos a white stag was said to walk between the yellowwoods, seen once a lifetime. We did not build a watch. We built a way to carry that silence.

II · Anatomy 01/07

Seven layers.
One spirit.

  1. 01

    Faceted sapphire

A crystal cut like a gem, not polished flat. Light enters through 96 planes and leaves as a shiver.

  2. 02

    The mist bezel

Rose gold, brushed in the direction mist moves through the trees.

  3. 03

    Leaf hands

Yellowwood leaves in gold. The fern-curl seconds hand ends in a single emerald tip.

  4. 04

    The emerald dial

312 facets in one stone, each angled by hand. Above it, the stag's antlers in raised gold.

  5. 05

    Flying tourbillon

A cage of 72 parts with no upper bridge, turning once a minute in the window at six.

  6. 06

    Calibre OB-08

Hand-wound, 72 hours of power, its bridges shaped like yellowwood branches.

  7. 07

    Sapphire caseback

Engraved with the coordinates of the tree where the stag was last seen.

Keep scrolling. The watch opens layer by layer.

III · The tourbillon

A minute,
made visible.

Inside the window at six, the whole escapement turns in its cage, once every sixty seconds, so gravity never pulls the same way twice.

IV · The other side

Turn it over.
The forest keeps working.

Through the sapphire back, the gear train turns in real time beneath branch-shaped bridges, set with ruby jewels.

V · The motion we borrowed

00:00 / 00:30

VI · The legend

Four signs
before the stag.

The foresters of Knysna said the white stag announced himself slowly. First the mist. Then the stag. Then the ferns turning. Then a green light in the stone.

Tall evergreen trees in thick morning mist
I

The mist

It arrives without wind. The bezel is brushed the way it moves.

A deer emerging from darkness
II

The stag

Seen in profile, never head-on. His antlers rise over the dial.

Green ferns on a black background
III

The fern

The seconds hand follows the curl of a fern, ending in emerald.

A green and white crystal fragment
IV

The stone

Green light where there should be none. That is the dial.
